Mark Oakes

Mark Oakes has extensive work experience in various industries. Mark started their career as a Technical Architect at Barclays Bank in 1996 before moving on to CSFB as a Technical Architect in 1997. From 2001 to 2004, they served as the Head of Technology at LBi. Mark then joined Phones4u as the Head of IT Development & Architecture from 2004 to 2005 and later became the IT Director from 2005 to 2006. Mark worked as the Group CIO at Select Property Group from 2006 to 2009 and then as a Programme Director at BSkyB plc from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they served as the Group IT Director at William Hill plc. Currently, they are the Chief Commercial Officer at Vita Group, where they have been working since 2013.

Mark Oakes attended Biddulph High School from 1980 to 1988. Mark then went on to attend Newcastle-under-Lyme College from 1988 to 1990, where they pursued A-Levels in Computing, Maths, and Physics. Following this, they enrolled at Staffordshire University from 1990 to 1994 and graduated with a BSc Honors in Information Systems, obtaining a 2:1 degree classification.
