Congshan (Sunny) Sun, PhD has seven years of professional experience in the field of research and development. In 2013, they began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Southampton. In 2014, they moved to King's College London as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they studied the Hippo signalling pathway function in muscle stem cells, resulting in one first author publication and two co-author publications. In 2016, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins Medicine, where they established a compound screening platform based on DMD patient specific hiPSC derived myoblasts. In 2018, they accepted a role as a Review-Editor at Frontiers, as well as a Visiting Scientist at Chungbuk National University and an Equity Research Extern at T. Rowe Price. Congshan (Sunny) is currently a Principal Scientist at Vita Therapeutics.
Congshan (Sunny) Sun, PhD obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology from Ocean University of China between 2006 and 2010. Subsequently, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental and Cell Biology from the University of Southampton between 2010 and 2014.
