Jackie Gao

Jackie Gao is a Microfluidics Engineer at Vital Bio since May 2023, responsible for setting up imaging systems and resolving microfluidic failures. Previously, Jackie served as a Sustaining Engineer at Formlabs, where research led to significant improvements in tank design and quality control. Earlier roles include Automation Engineer at Vital Bio, facilitating blood assay automation, and Research and Development Engineer, contributing to a programmable microfluidics system. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, complemented by research experience at various institutions, including the National University of Singapore and Syncrude Canada Ltd. Jackie has demonstrated leadership skills as President of the UAARG, overseeing a multidisciplinary team in UAV design and development.
