Justin Knapp

Justin Knapp, Ph.D., currently serves as a Clinical Development Scientist at Vital Bio since November 2023. Prior to this role, Justin held the position of Vice President of Discovery Research at Serenity Bioworks from May 2019 to November 2023, where responsibilities included collaboration with executive leadership to oversee clinical, preclinical, and discovery stage programs focused on novel protein-based therapeutics. Earlier experiences include a Research Scientist role at KGK Science Inc., where Justin designed clinical trial protocols for natural health products and communicated trial results to clients. During a doctoral research tenure at the University of Waterloo, Justin investigated novel signaling mechanisms in Xenopus laevis and instructed undergraduate courses as a Teaching Assistant. Additional academic experience includes a Master of Science and Honours Bachelor of Science degree both earned at McMaster University, culminating in expertise in biology.
