Karyn Ho

Karyn Ho is a seasoned professional in science communication and animation, currently serving as the Science Communications Lead at Vital Bio since 2020, where Karyn specializes in developing written and visual content to secure non-dilutive funding, achieving over $1M in grant funding approvals. As an Independent Contractor and Science Animator since 2014, Karyn has collaborated with a variety of clients, including CrossFit and Toronto General Hospital, to illustrate and animate complex medical concepts. Karyn also contributes to public science outreach as a Science Communications Specialist at Research2Reality, while previously managing social media engagement for the Academy of Realist Art. Karyn’s academic achievements include a PhD in Chemical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Science in Biomedical Communications from the University of Toronto, complemented by extensive research experience across various esteemed institutions.
