David Deshotels, RPh, MBA

David Deshotels, RPh, MBA has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. David is currently serving as the Director of Pharmacy at Vital Care Infusion Services since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Pharmacy at UnitedHealth Group from March 2021 to April 2022. David also gained experience as a Hospital Pharmacist at Ochsner Health System from September 2016 to March 2021.

In addition to their pharmacy roles, David Deshotels has also held positions in healthcare consulting and business development. David worked as a Senior Consultant at Visante Inc. from May 2018 to April 2020. Before that, they served as the President of E-Click Diagnostics, LLC dba Discount Diagnostics, a health services company facilitating lab tests at a reduced cost for patients, from November 2016 to September 2019.

David has also displayed entrepreneurial skills as the Original Founder and Product Developer of Cajun Cousins, offering authentic Cajun cuisine products, from November 2012 to September 2018. Moreover, they acted as the President of Gulf Coast Research, LLC for 10 years, managing clinical trials and providing specialty infusion medication and clinical lab services from July 2000 to November 2016. Prior to that, they worked as the Business Development Manager at Discount Diagnostics from January 2014 to February 2016, and as the Operations Manager at Clinical Trial Consulting from July 2000 to January 2016.

David Deshotels, RPh, MBA attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe from 1983 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) with a focus on Pharmaceutical Sciences. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Louisiana State University from 1993 to 1995, specializing in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA®) certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in October 2009, and the Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC®) certification from the same institution in September 2005. David also holds certifications as a Certified Clinical Research Associate and Certified Clinical Research Coordinator from the ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals) obtained in October 2008 and September 2013, respectively.
