Christian D. Tvetenstrand

Chief Medical Officer at Vital Motion

Dr. Tvetenstrand is currently Chairman of the Department of Surgery at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, New York and maintains an affiliation with Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, New York. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Vital Motion, Inc. and has advised the company on its plantar/soleus stimulation products and research since 2014. His contributions have been instrumental in Vital Motion’s exploration of the application of the Hummingbird’s therapy to patients battling depression.

Dr. Tvetenstrand received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with Honors from Columbia University and his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and he completed 6 years of surgical residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York culminating with service as Chief Resident in General Surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and holds additional certifications in 5 separate medical/surgical procedures. Dr. Tvetenstrand has published research papers in the International Journal of Surgical Pathology, the American Journal of Physiology, and the Journal of Vascular Surgery.
