Jimena Romero

Jimena Romero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in architecture, urban planning, and public health. Currently, Jimena serves as a Senior Regional Manager at Vital Strategies and coordinates initiatives for the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety. As Co-Founder of LOOOP since March 2017, Jimena has also held academic positions, including Associate Professor at UNIVERSIDAD DE LAS AMÉRICAS ECUADOR and teaching roles at both the same institution and Columbia University. Previous roles include Urban Innovation Coordinator for the Municipio de Quito and various architectural positions. Jimena holds a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, a Diplomat in Global Competitiveness Leadership from Georgetown University, and has earned multiple certifications, including in Road Safety and Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
