Rafaella Basile

Rafaella Basile serves as the Mobility and Road Safety Policies Coordinator at Vital Strategies since September 2021, managing and supporting the design and planning of safer mobility systems within the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety in various cities including São Paulo, Campinas, and Recife. Prior experience includes coordinating road design and sustainable transport activities as a Safer Streets and Mobility Officer at Vital Strategies, and serving as Project and Research Coordinator at Cidade Ativa, where efforts included the Mobilidade em Transformação online course and representation in the Municipal Government Committee for the Open Streets Program. Additional roles include Junior Policy Analyst at the International Transport Forum, where pivotal reports on urban traffic safety management were authored, as well as urban planning internships at IDOM Consulting and AECOM focusing on urban rehabilitation and infrastructure masterplans. Rafaella holds a Master’s degree in Governing Large Metropolis from Sciences Po and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urbanism from USP, complemented by studies at Ecole d'Architecture de Paris-Val-de-Seine.
