Angela M. Verdoni Ph.D., Dabmgg

Angela M. Verdoni, PhD, DABMGG, currently serves as the Scientific Director for Coagulation and MID Laboratories at Vitalant, a position held since September 2021. Prior experience includes a Clinical Laboratory Genetics and Genomics Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh from July 2019 to June 2021, and a role as a Genome Bioinformatics Analyst at Magee-Womens Hospital Of UPMC between March 2018 and July 2019. Angela's academic background features a significant tenure at Washington University in St. Louis, where an investigation into DNMT3A mutations as they relate to hematopoietic malignancies was conducted during both an Instructor of Medicine and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. Earlier studies as a PhD Dissertator at the University of Wisconsin-Madison focused on transcription factors and the interleukin-1 pathway in the context of corneal abnormalities and neovascularization in Destrin deficient mice.
