Megan McCarter

Megan McCarter has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Megan began their career at Canon City Schools, where they worked as an Accounting Specialist from May 2004 to January 2006. During their time there, they were part of a team that implemented a computer system upgrade.

Megan then took on the role of Sales Executive at Sentry Siren, Inc. from August 2006 to April 2009. In addition to sales, they also assisted with daily operations, graphic design, and customer service. Megan consistently met or exceeded challenging sales goals, often achieving double digit percentage increases.

From 2008 to 2010, Megan served as the Head Varsity Cheerleading Coach at Canon City High School. Megan provided guidance and leadership to the cheerleading team and helped them succeed in various competitions.

Megan's next venture was at the Canon City Music and Blossom Festival, where they served as the Executive Director of the Blossom Pageant from August 2003 onwards. Megan dedicated 16 years of volunteer work to raise funds and produce the event for the community. Their strong communication and people skills allowed their to build lasting relationships and secure donations of services and money.

Currently, Megan is working at Vitalant as a Donor Recruitment Representative since September 2011. Their role involves organizing mobile blood drives, traveling extensively across parts of Colorado. Megan effectively works from home when not on the field and collaborates closely with blood drive liaisons to ensure successful blood drives. Additionally, they assist donors in their pre-blood drive needs.

Megan McCarter obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a specialization in Management and Marketing from Colorado State University Pueblo. Megan attended the university from 1999 to 2004. In 2010, Megan completed a Certificate of Completion in Human Relations from Dale Carnegie.
