YaLonda Clemons-Ragin has a diverse work experience in various industries. YaLonda started their professional career in 2006 as a Home Health Aid at Moriarty Consultants Inc. From there, they worked as a Research Assistant at Allegheny Singer Research Institute for two months in 2010. In 2011, they took on roles as a Cashier at Shop n Save from January to May, and as a Sales Associate at Swag City Clothing from May to December. In 2014, YaLonda joined Quest Diagnostics as a Lab Assistant. YaLonda then transitioned to UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital in 2016, where they worked as a Sterile Processing Tech until 2018. In 2017, they joined Vitalant as a Laboratory Technician. Finally, in 2019, YaLonda became a Lead Sterile Processing Tech at St. Clair Hospital.

YaLonda Clemons-Ragin attended the Community College of Allegheny County from 2007 to 2010, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Biotechnology. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2001, they also attended the University of Pittsburgh-Titusville, but did not complete a degree. During their time at the University of Pittsburgh-Titusville, YaLonda focused their studies on Communication and Media Studies.
