Nicolas Duarte

Nicolas Duarte is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development of advanced materials and technologies. Currently serving as the Research and Development Engineering Manager at Vitro since May 2023, Nicolas leads a team focused on innovative technical glass solutions and manages collaborative projects with external partners. Previously, Nicolas held various positions at PPG from May 2011 to January 2023, including New Business Development, Technical Program Manager, and Technical Product Manager, where significant contributions were made to electrically functional coatings and intelligent systems. Prior roles include Senior Scientist at Solar Power Industries and Graduate Researcher at Penn State University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, Nicolas has a strong educational foundation with a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Maryland and advanced business management training from the University of Pittsburgh.
