Johnny Hergert, PhD, has extensive work experience in the field of research and technology. Johnny is currently serving as the Cofounder and Chief Technology Officer at Vitro3D, a position they have held since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they held multiple roles. Johnny started as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in September 2016 and ended in May 2017. Johnny then became a Graduate Research Assistant from September 2016 to April 2021. Currently, they are working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder. Before joining the University of Colorado Boulder, they gained experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University from May 2014 to June 2016.

Johnny Hergert, PhD, completed their education in a sequential manner. Johnny first obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Oregon State University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Following this, they went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed between 2016 and 2018. Johnny then continued their academic journey at the same institution, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science in the years 2016 to 2021.
