Imamu Tomlinson, MD, MBA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Imamu started their career at Premier Physician Services as an Emergency Physician from July 2002 to December 2004. Following that, they joined Adventist Health and held multiple roles including Emergency Physician at Adventist Health Selma, Chief of Staff, Department Chair for Diagnostic and Emergency Department at Adventist Health Central Valley Network, and Medical Director for both Adventist Health Selma and Adventist Health Hanford Emergency Departments. Imamu worked at Adventist Health from December 2004 to December 2015. In 2012, they also served as a member of the Board of Directors at Vituity. From January 2013 to December 2015, they took on the role of Regional Director for the Sequoia Region at Vituity, where they successfully doubled the number of locations and patients cared for. In January 2016, they became the President of Vituity until December 2016 when they assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer, a position they still hold. In 2020, they joined Vituity Cares Foundation as its President and then became the Executive Chair of the Vituity Cares Foundation Board in July 2020.

Imamu Tomlinson, MD, MBA obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Cincinnati in the years 1996 to 2000. Imamu then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Health Care Management at California Coast University from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, History and Creative Writing at St. Lawrence University from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their degrees, Imamu Tomlinson holds certifications in Emergency Medicine and Family Practice from the State Medical Board of California.
