Carrie Tong's work experience begins in 2010 with PCCW Media Limited, where they served as a Senior Web Content Producer. Carrie then transitioned to the role of Assistant Product & Content Manager, gaining experience in project management, content development, social media, usability testing, and data analysis. After working at PCCW for several years, Tong moved on to Viu in 2016. At Viu, they held multiple roles, including Product & Content Manager, Senior Manager of Digital Strategy & Optimization, and Director of Digital Strategy & Growth. In these positions, Tong played a crucial role in the digital transformation of Viu, utilizing MarTech, Advanced Data Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning to enhance the company's operations and marketing strategies. Carrie spearheaded initiatives such as the development of a personalized homepage through Machine Learning, the integration of Machine Learning models with marketing automation tools for hyper-personalized marketing, and the creation of look-alike audiences for customer acquisition. Additionally, they implemented churn prediction models to identify and retarget at-risk customers. Tong's latest role at Viu is as Senior Director of Digital Strategy & Growth, where they continue to drive the company's digital growth and strategy.

Carrie Tong completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Multimedia & Entertainment Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2010 to 2013. In addition, they obtained several certifications including "Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Essential Training" from LinkedIn in November 2022, "Become an Agile Project Manager" from LinkedIn in May 2022, and "Statistics for Data Science and Business Analysis" from Udemy in January 2021.
