Melanie Igwe

Melanie Igwe has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Melanie co-founded ViuHealth (formerly DrugViu) in 2019 and served as the Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer. ViuHealth is a virtual care solution focused on helping individuals with autoimmunity improve their daily lives through personalized analytics and access to a clinician-led care team. Prior to ViuHealth, Melanie co-founded Drugviu, a platform that generates comprehensive real-world evidence and patient-reported outcomes data for immunological research and drug development in autoimmune diseases.

Before their ventures in healthcare startups, Melanie worked at Ilerasoft Inc as the Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer from 2017 to 2019. Ilerasoft developed the Efficiency Score, a system that evaluates medical equipment based on utilization and hospital-specific factors to assist managers in making informed decisions.

Melanie also gained experience at Memorial Hermann Health System as a Data Analyst from 2015 to 2016 and at Harris Health System as a Project Manager from 2012 to 2014.

Melanie Igwe earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Howard University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009.
