James McDonald

James McDonald has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles in Human Resources. James is currently the Head of People and Culture at Viva Energy Australia, responsible for the development and delivery of HR strategies. Previously, they worked at Coles as the Head of People and Culture, where they played a key role in the merchandise business units. Before that, they were the Executive Director of Human Resources at Emaar, leading the HR function across the Middle East and North Africa. James also served as the Vice President of Human Resources and Development at Emirates Flight Catering, overseeing a multi-site business. Prior to that, James held several management positions at Qantas, where they managed HR and industrial relations for large unionized workforces. James has a strong track record of developing and implementing HR strategies, leading organizational change, and driving employee engagement.

James McDonald has completed a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment at the Australian Institute of Management. James also holds a Master of Human Resource Management degree from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from RMIT University.
