Anushka Fernando, Ph.D.

Anushka Fernando, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience in the field of research and data science. Anushka started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Oxford, where they worked from October 2013 to May 2015. Following that, they joined Imperial College London as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from May 2015 to May 2016. Anushka then joined UCL as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and worked there from May 2016 to July 2018.

In 2018, Anushka transitioned into the industry and joined Valtech as a Data Scientist from September 2018 to June 2019. Anushka was then promoted to the role of Senior Data Scientist and worked at Valtech from June 2019 to September 2021.

Moving forward, Anushka joined Tractable as a Senior Data Scientist in September 2021. In this role, they played a key role in deploying computer-vision models, optimizing them, and ensuring their successful integration into the production environment. Currently, Anushka is working as a Research Engineer at VivaCity starting from June 2023.
