Eniola Akinkugbe

Eniola Akinkugbe has held various positions in the legal and compliance fields since 2009. Eniola began their career as a Legal Counsel at Ayanlaja, Adesanya & Co. Solicitors in 2009, where they were responsible for corporate commercial law, court appearances, motions, and filed court processes. In 2012, they moved to GTBank as a Transactions and Compliance Officer, where they were responsible for transactions services, banking operations, and regulatory compliance. Eniola then moved to Optima Media Group Limited in 2013, where they negotiated and closed on sponsorships and partnerships with brands, concluded franchise negotiations, and provided company secretarial and legal advisory services. In 2014, they took on the role of Head, Legal and Projects at EbonyLife TV, where they established and structured the first in-house legal department, drafted board resolutions, and managed the company's intellectual property portfolio. In 2018, they moved to Airtel Africa as a Contract Drafting Exec. (Legal & Regulatory), where they managed all commercial and technology contracts, advised on matters regarding the registration and protection of IP rights, and managed company secretarial and compliance affairs. Finally, in 2022, they moved to VivaCity as a Commercial Contracts Manager and Data Protection Officer, where they are responsible for overseeing the company's data protection strategy and implementation, driving company-wide General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and other relevant privacy laws and regulations compliance programs, and managing and negotiating commercial contracts with public-sector clients across the UK and EU.

Eniola Akinkugbe has an extensive educational background. Eniola began their studies in 2003 when they completed their Advanced Level “A-Level” Studies at Mander Portman Woodward Limited (MPW). From 2005 to 2008, they attended the University of Reading where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law. Eniola then attended the Nigerian Law School from 2008 to 2009 and obtained a Licentiate degree in Law. Finally, they attended Durham University from 2010 to 2012 and obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Trade and Commercial Law.
