Michael Joyce

Northeast Collision Regional Director at VIVE Collision

Michael Joyce has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael currently serves as the Northeast Collision Regional Director for VIVE Collision since November 2021. In addition, they are the I-CAR Chairman for Rhode Island, a position they have held since February 2021. In this role, they organize and develops new shops and students for the education and advancement of the collision industry in Rhode Island. Michael Joyce has also served as a Board Member for the Department of Business Regulations Auto Body Licensing and Regulations with the State of Rhode Island since November 2019.

Prior to their current roles, Michael Joyce held management positions at Penske Automotive Group. Michael was the General Manager of the Warwick Collision Center from January 2017 to November 2021, the Bedford Collision Center from March 2019 to November 2019, and the Fairfield Collision Center from October 2015 to January 2017.

Before joining Penske Automotive Group, Michael Joyce was the General Manager and MSO Director at Castle Collision Centers from August 2014 to October 2015. Michael also worked as the Operations Manager at Skuffy Auto Body Inc. from October 2011 to November 2013.

Michael Joyce has also demonstrated their entrepreneurial spirit by owning and operating New York's Finest Auto Refurbishing and Restoration from December 2005 to February 2010.

Prior to their career in the automotive industry, Michael Joyce served as a Senior Police Officer at the Henrico Police Department. During their time there from October 2005 to February 2010, they worked in various positions, including Patrol Officer, Marine Patrol Officer, Narcotics Interdiction Officer, and Shield Team. Michael received the Chief's Award in December 2008 for their exceptional performance.

Michael Joyce has a diverse education history. Michael attended Adelphi University from 2000 to 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. After completing their undergraduate studies, Michael enrolled in the 42nd Henrico Police Academy in 2005 and graduated in 2006, obtaining certification as a Law Enforcement Officer.

Before their university education, Michael attended Hauppauge High School from 1996 to 2000, where they completed a general education program and received a Regents diploma.

In addition to their formal education, Michael has acquired several certifications. In 2016, they became a Mercedes Benz Certified Collision Manager through Mercedes-Benz AG. The following year, in 2017, they obtained the BMW CCRC Manager certification from BMW Group. In 2018, Michael became a Bentley Certified Collision Manager through Bentley Motors. More recently, in 2021, they achieved the Audi Ultra Certified Collision Manager certification from Audi of America and the Porsche Certified P53E certification from Porsche Cars North America. Additionally, Michael obtained the Department of Business Regulation, Auto Body Licensing, and Regulations certification from the State of Rhode Island in 2019.

Michael also holds certifications in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Collision and Green Belt Lean Process from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and PPG Industries, respectively. However, the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
