Carsten Strømbæk Pedersen

Carsten Strømbæk Pedersen serves as the Forsknings- og Analysechef (Head of Research) at VIVE – Det Nationale Forsknings- og Analysecenter for Velfærd since October 2019, focusing on enhancing welfare society knowledge and effective public sector management. Carsten has extensive academic involvement as an external examiner at University of Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Southern Denmark since 2011, and has contributed to various educational roles, including external lecturer positions at multiple universities. Previously, Carsten held leadership roles at Socialstyrelsen i Danmark, overseeing the development of the capacity for data and analysis, as well as serving at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Carsten's research interests encompass evaluation, qualitative methods, and public organization management, along with participation in international research projects. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. fellowship in Evaluation and a Master of Science in Economics, complemented by certifications in executive coaching and management.
