Dexter Teng

Dexter Teng has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dexter began their professional career as a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they held various roles within the Student Electoral Board from 2007 to 2011. In 2008, they joined the UIC Pavilion, where they were responsible for security, upkeep, and production for high-profile artists and performers.

In 2012, Dexter worked as a Quality Associate II at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. Dexter then transitioned to a Senior Consultant role at ThoughtWorks in 2013, where they worked until 2017. During this time, they gained experience as a Senior Consultant.

Dexter joined Allstate as a Lead Software Engineer in June 2017 and worked there until June 2019. Dexter then moved on to Vivid Seats, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer from June 2019 to October 2022. Currently, Dexter holds the position of Lead Software Engineer at Vivid Seats since October 2022.

Dexter Teng pursued their education in a systematic manner. Starting in 2007, they attended the University of Illinois Chicago for four years until 2011. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. In 2013, Dexter enrolled in the Mobile Makers Academy, where they completed a program focused on iOS development. This endeavor allowed him to gain expertise in the field of Computer Science.
