Mark Loper

Software Engineer at VividCloud

Mark Loper began their work experience in 1995 as a Software Engineer for BTG Inc., where they worked on various projects including designing and implementing a survey system for the US Census Bureau. In 1999, they became a Senior Technical Staff at Oracle, focusing on development using Java, Oracle PLSQL, and other technologies. Mark then joined General Dynamics in 2002, initially as a Senior Software Engineer and later as an Application Architect, working on projects for the Transportation Security Administration and a government client in the intelligence field. From 2005 to 2012, Mark worked at Henggeler Computer Consultants as a Principal Software Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and enforcing secure and scalable architectures for various programs, including the NGA GEOINT-Online program. In 2012, they joined Cyren LLC as CTO, overseeing technical leadership, project management, and enterprise-level architecture and security solutions for the Federal Government Intelligence Community. There, they also served as the Chief Software Architect for the NGA AWP contract and worked as a Scrum Master & Senior Software Engineer for the NGA AWP contract. Most recently, Mark joined VividCloud in 2020 as a Software Engineer, contributing to the digital transformation of clients' products through cloud computing, IoT, and data engineering technologies, including the re-architecting and migration of legacy software to the cloud.

Mark Loper has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Physics from Ball State University, which they obtained from 1987 to 1992. Mark pursued post-graduate work in Computer Science at the same university from 1992 to 1995.
