Nicholas Raynes has had a diverse range of work experiences. Nicholas started their career at the United States Air Force in 2019 as a Network & Systems Administrator. In this role, they developed PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and enhance user interfaces for different internal organizations, resulting in significant time savings.
In 2021, Nicholas transitioned to the Air Force Global Strike Command as a Software Engineer. Nicholas worked on various software development projects, including the creation of a web application for IT asset tracking and customer interactions. This application streamlined processes and saved up to 6000 hours annually. Nicholas also worked as the team lead in an agile environment.
Presently, Nicholas is employed at VividCloud, a high-tech software services company. As a Software Developer, they contribute to the digital transformation of client products by utilizing cloud computing, IoT, and data engineering technologies. The company focuses on designing and building new products, as well as rearchitecting and migrating legacy software to the cloud.
Nicholas Raynes has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields and institutions. Nicholas started their education at Exeter High School, where they received their High School Diploma in 2016.
After high school, Nicholas attended Seacoast School of Technology from 2014 to 2016, where they pursued studies in Computer Science, Automotive Technology, and Building Construction. During this time, they obtained practical skills in these areas.
In 2016, Nicholas enrolled at Nashua Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Science degree in Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician. Nicholas completed their studies in 2018, gaining further expertise in this field.
Nicholas continued their education at Western Governors University from 2020 to 2022, focusing on Cyber Security & Information Assurance. Although they did not obtain a degree from this institution, they deepened their knowledge in the field.
In 2021, Nicholas briefly studied at Galvanize Inc, earning a Certificate in Computer Software Engineering. The following year, they added another certificate to their credentials from the United States Air Force AFWERX, specializing in Intrapreneurship.
Most recently, Nicholas is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Southern New Hampshire University, a program they started in 2022 and is expected to complete by 2025.
