Head Creative Pattern Cutter at Vivienne Westwood

Johanna Mackert has held various roles in the fashion industry. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a bespoke tailor at Gabriele Blachnik. In 2012, they freelanced in design, pattern cutting, and tailoring. Since 2014, they have been with Vivienne Westwood, initially starting as a Creative Pattern Cutter and later becoming the Head Creative Pattern Cutter.

Johanna Mackert began their education in 2004 with an apprenticeship for a certified bespoke tailor, specializing in Maßschneider. Johanna completed this program in 2007. From 2009 to 2011, they attended the Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode, where they earned a degree as a certified master in bespoke tailoring and certified modeller, focusing on Fachschule für Modellistik. Following this, in 2011 to 2012, they furthered their education at the same school, obtaining a degree as a certified pattern cutter and designer in Fachschule für Schnitt und Entwurf.
