Tom Vaknin

Tom Vaknin is the current Deputy CISO at Viz. Prior to this, they were a Security Architect at CyberArk from May 2021 to September 2022. There, they built and managed a company wide information security program, deployed and reviewed security processes that protected company data, and closely worked with all departments to execute and lead the security program. Tom also built and led the cloud security controls followed by the industry standards, set the company policies, procedures and guidelines for all aspects including Cloud, on-premise, tools, applications and integrations, and monitored the company security maturity level with multiple scanners.

Before CyberArk, Tom was a Security Engineer at Finalto from October 2018 to May 2021. There, they were responsible for cloud security (AWS), Dome9, CNP; operating systems security (Linux, UNIX, Windows); network security (designing of secured network architecture and network devices security); network protocols / layers security (BGP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, SSH, TLS, etc.); middle-ware security (web servers like Apache/Tomcat/IIS, MQ platforms like RMQ/Websphere); security platforms (FW, WAF, NAC, DLP, DAM, Anti-DDoS, EPS, SIEM, ATP, IPS); TrendMicro Deep Security, McAfee, MSDATP; Forcepoint, Pulse Secure, OpenVPN.

Tom Vaknin has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with an emphasis in Information Systems from Netanya Academic College.
