Joshua Baldwin

Joshua Baldwin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Joshua currently holds the position of Principal Engineer at VIZIO, where they have been working since February 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Engineering at VIZIO from August 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining VIZIO, Joshua worked at SpotX, starting in 2013. During their time at SpotX, they held several positions, including Vice President of Software Engineering from April 2017 to October 2019, Director of Software Engineering from July 2016 to April 2017, Principal Software Engineer from June 2015 to July 2016, Senior Software Engineer from January 2015 to June 2015, and Software Engineer from December 2013 to December 2014. Their roles at SpotX involved various responsibilities, such as implementing automated regression suites, mentoring PHP developers, and leading projects to improve the real-time ad request marketplace. Joshua played a key role in reducing overhead and costs, designing custom marketplace caching layers, and developing forward HTTP proxies and audience management platforms.

Prior to SpotX, Joshua worked as a Software Engineer at RICOH Production Print Solutions from July 2010 to December 2013. Joshua also gained experience as a Software Engineer Intern at IBM | InfoPrint Solutions from May 2009 to August 2009.

From 2006 to 2010, Joshua Baldwin attended the University of Denver, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
