Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, where responsibilities include developing hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices as part of a cross-functional team. Prior to this role, Chris served as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on the design and repair of educational devices, and as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting laboratory courses and student assessments. Earlier experience includes a tenure as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, contributing to control systems for forestry harvesters, and a background in electronics design and PCB layout. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
