Helen Lu

Helen Lu is an accomplished academic and finance professional with extensive experience in both higher education and the finance industry. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Vlerick Business School since May 2024, Helen previously held the position of Senior Lecturer at The University of Auckland from January 2014 to May 2024 and was a Lecturer at The University of Otago from January 2013 to January 2014. In the finance sector, Helen held influential roles as Vice President at Deutsche Bank from July 2003 to March 2007, where responsibilities included the execution of IPOs and M&A transactions, and at Credit Suisse from April 2007 to March 2008, leading teams in IPO execution. Educational qualifications include an MBA from London Business School, a Ph.D. in Finance from Massey University, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Northern Jiaotong University, and a Master's in Economics from Peking University.
