Anna Birke is a fermentation scientist at vly. Anna has a background in molecular microbiology, and has experience working with different microbes. Anna has also worked in a microbial testing lab, where they gained experience in routine testing of materials and surfaces for antimicrobial properties. In their Bachelor's Project, they worked on the development of a bioreactor for the production of lactic acid from cheese whey.
Anna Birke has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Microbiology from the University of Strathclyde, a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, and a Bachelor's degree BSc in Biology from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
