Elke Van Tienen

Elke van Tienen is a seasoned human resources leader with extensive experience in the marketing and advertising sectors. Currently serving as Chief People Officer for VML UK Group and VML Commerce Global since January 2024, Elke previously held the position of Global Chief People Officer at VMLY&R COMMERCE from January 2021 to February 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing the integration of two prominent WPP agencies. Prior roles include Chief People Officer for Geometry Global (October 2019 - January 2021) and HR Director for Geometry UK (June 2013 - October 2019). Elke’s early career features leadership as Head of HR at G2 Joshua and as an HR Advisor at Viacom. Academic credentials include a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science, along with a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Kingston University.
