Raul Galindez-Torres has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Raul started their career at Raytheon in 1989 as a Software Engineer, where they were involved in the development of a submarine combat control system. During their time at SAIC from 1991 to 1996, Raul developed software for various products including military avionics, engine control units, pharmaceutical research, and medical devices.

In 1996, Raul joined Newport Systems Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they worked on developing low-level device drivers and board support packages. Raul also provided IT support for network management and PC maintenance.

From 1998 to 2007, Raul worked at Thomson as a Senior Member Technical Staff, where they supported the development and launch of consumer electronic digital set-top boxes. Raul developed software for diverse technologies such as DVD, satellite television, ATSC receivers, MP3 players, and network routers.

Raul joined ITT Exelis in 2007 as a Senior Software Engineer. Raul completed various assignments, including developing a serial-to-Ethernet server on an uClinux embedded platform. Raul also served as team lead for the software development of the SpearNet international market radio.

Currently, Raul is working at Vocera Communications as a DevOps Manager since 2012. Raul leads a small DevOps team responsible for release engineering, cloud deployments, performance evaluation, and engineering escalations.
