Vinh Ly

Vinh Ly has over 25 years of work experience in the technology industry. Vinh started their career as an intern at Bay Networks in 1995 and later worked as a Support Engineer (Intern) at Hitachi Internetworking. In 1998, they joined FlowWise Networks as a System Test Engineer, where they tested and debugged Layer 2/Layer 3 Ethernet switches. FlowWise Networks was acquired by Network Equipment Technology, where Vinh continued their role as a System Test Engineer. At Network Equipment Technology, they designed and executed test cases for various systems, including PPP over ATM, PPP over Ethernet, L2TP, DHCP, IP, Classical IP, RIP, OSPF, ACL, and ATM.

In 2003, Vinh joined Aperto Networks as the Lead Technical Engineer, responsible for designing and executing test cases for WiMax products. Vinh also installed and configured different types of radios in the test network. Vinh then moved to Packeteer in 2006 as a Senior SW Test Engineer, where they contributed to the testing process.

Vinh has held various QA and engineering roles throughout their career. Vinh worked at Blue Coat Systems as a Senior Staff QA Engineer from 2008 to 2010 and then at SpiderCloud Wireless, Inc as a Senior SQA from 2010 to 2016. At Ruckus Wireless, they served as a Principal Major Accounts TSE from 2016 to 2018. Currently, they are employed at Vocera Communications as a Senior Firmware QA Engineer since 2018.

From 1990 to 1998, Vinh Ly attended San Jose State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
