John Kominek is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in language technologies and software engineering. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Voci Technologies since April 2009, John previously held the role of Research Consultant at Automated Speech Technologies from February 2009 to February 2010. John's academic journey includes a PhD in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University, where education was completed between 1997 and 2009, and earlier degrees in Physics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, earned from 1985 to 1993. Prior experience also includes a position as a Software Engineer at Quack.com, where work was undertaken from May 1999 to September 2001, and as a PhD Student at the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University from 2002 to April 2009.
