James Wood

James Wood is a Board Member at Volan Technology, and has over thirty years of experience in the tech industry. James has held various positions such as CEO, Board Director, and Director of International Business. In 1993, they were part of the team that took Audience Awards public. James then went on to co-found Gemio, which was later sold to CODA Inc. in 1995. Ross Systems was next on their list, where they served as Director of International Business until it was sold to Kana Communications in 2000 for $4.2 billion. Following Ross Systems, James founded Silknet Software Inc., which was also sold to Kana Communications in 2000 for the same amount. From 1995 to 2000, James was CEO and Chairman of Silknet. In between their time at Ross Systems and Silknet, James took on the role of Product Marketing at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1980 to 1985. James started their career as an engineer at Control Data Corporation from 1979 to 1980.

James Wood has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Oregon State University-Cascades, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.
