Jason Michaud has work experience as a Junior Project Engineer in Product Development at Volant Products Inc. since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Researcher at the University of Alberta from May 2016 to January 2020. During this time, they designed and manufactured prototype Stirling Engines, utilizing computer-aided design software and advanced manufacturing techniques. Jason also worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, providing guidance and marking reports for 4th year Mechanical Engineering undergraduates in topics such as Solidworks and numerical simulation.
Jason Michaud has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. Jason obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2016. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further specialization in the field and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, graduating in 2020.
In addition to their academic achievements, Jason has also obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Jason became a Certified Solidworks Professional through Dassault Systèmes in April 2019 and a Certified Solidworks Associate in March 2017. Jason also holds the designation of E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), which they received in August 2016. These certifications demonstrate their proficiency in the application of Solidworks software and their commitment to professional development and growth in the engineering field.
