Syed Khyzer Abidi

Syed Khyzer Abidi's work experience began in 2007 as a DCS & Instrumentation Intern at GENCO-3 Thermal Power Plant Muzaffargarh, where they became familiar with the plant's process control cycle and electrical instrumentation. In 2010, they worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Telescience (S) Pte Ltd, providing pre and post-sales support on communication and networking equipment. Syed Khyzer also conducted technical training and POC demos for customers and designed and deployed communication analyzer tools and network monitoring systems. Later that year, they worked as an RF Drive Test Engineer at Efficient Networks Pte Ltd. From 2011 to 2016, they served as an Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineer at Keppel Offshore & Marine, where they carried out detailed engineering for offshore electrical R&D projects and product development, and handled PLC & HMI programming. In 2016, they joined Volanté Systems as a Technical Support Specialist, and in 2017, they became a Product Specialist. Syed Khyzer was promoted to Manager of the Product Specialists Department in 2017 and later managed the Product Specialists and Configurations Departments from 2018 to 2019. Syed Khyzer then became the Director of Technical Services before being appointed as the VP of Technical Services in 2019. Additionally, they also served as the VP of Operations at Volanté Systems.

Syed Khyzer Abidi's education history includes a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which was obtained from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) between 2005 and 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Syed Khyzer Abidi has obtained various certifications. These include the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from PeopleCert, which was acquired in January 2020. Syed Khyzer also completed the SSSC (Shipyard Supervisor Safety Course) from NTUC LearningHub in September 2013. In November 2012, they received the BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training) including HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) certification from the Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization (UK). Furthermore, Syed Khyzer Abidi holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not available.
