Aaron Phillips

Aaron Phillips has a strong background in scientific research and has held various roles in the field. Aaron is currently employed at Volastra Therapeutics, where they started as a Scientist II in July 2020 and later promoted to Senior Scientist in November 2021. Volastra Therapeutics focuses on extending the lives of cancer patients by targeting the site of metastasis in solid tumors. Prior to their current position, Aaron worked as a Scientist at Inzen Therapeutics from December 2017 to April 2020. Before that, they pursued their PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at the Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences from August 2012 to December 2017. Aaron also has research experience from their time as an HHMI Undergraduate Mentor and a Master's Candidate Researcher in Bioanalytical Chemistry at Tufts University, from June 2008 to August 2012. Aaron began their career in research as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Union College from May 2005 to August 2006.

Aaron Phillips has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Union College, which they obtained between the years 2002 and 2006. Aaron then pursued a Master's degree in Chemistry at Tufts University from 2007 to 2012. Finally, Aaron completed their education at NYU School of Medicine, Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, where they earned a Ph.D. in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from 2012 to 2017.
