Chief Technical Officer at Volga Gas

Konstantin Ruban is the Chief Technical Officer at Volga Gas, a position they have held since June 2016. Konstantin is responsible for managing 100+ field and technical personnel, as well as the successful implementation of gas sweetening process, LPG extraction unit, and field digitalization. Konstantin has also built a strong exploration G&G team for international acquisition and launched an LNG mobile production plant and small scale LPG extraction unit.

Under Ruban's leadership, the company has accomplished several notable projects, including the modernization of a gas processing plant with new technology that lowered its ecological footprint (2017), the commissioning of an LPG extraction unit from scratch to production in 1.5 years (2019), and the creation of a digital twin for the company's remote facilities (2020). Most recently, they have been working on the launch of a slim diameter drilling company (SlimDrill, TM) and the development of a mobile flare gas capture unit (2022).

Konstantin Ruban's educational career consists of four stages. Konstantin first completed a higher school in the field of physics and mathematics at the School for Physics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University. Konstantin then went on to earn a bachelor's degree in physics at Novosibirsk State University (NSU). After that, they completed a master's degree in geology at NSU. Finally, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in reservoir geoscience and engineering from IFP School.

Konstantin Ruban works with Natalia Fedorova - Legal & Contracts, Olga Volonsevich - Chief Ecologist, and Mikhail Zenin - Chief Officer GNS & PGK. Konstantin Ruban reports to Vadim Son, Chief Financial Officer.
