Percy Smith has an extensive background in human resources, with experience in various roles and companies. Percy began their career in 2000 as a Group Manager of Human Resources at Coca Cola SABCO, where they worked until 2005. In 2006, they joined Volkswagen Group South Africa as an HR Director and held that position until July 2020. Percy then started their own consulting firm, Percival Smith Consulting, in August 2020, working as a Human Resources Consultant. In 2021, they returned to Volkswagen Group South Africa as the Human Resources Director. Currently, Percy is retired, as of July 2020, and worked at Home Inc for a brief period in the same year.
