Guenther Mendl

Guenther Mendl currently serves as the Head of the Center of Excellence Battery at Volkswagen AG, overseeing various aspects of battery systems, development, and product management since April 2020. Prior to this role, Guenther Mendl spent nearly two decades at AUDI AG in multiple leadership positions, including Head of Development for E-Traction, Charging, and Battery Systems, as well as roles focused on gasoline engine mechanics and project management. Guenther Mendl began a postgraduate program at AUDI AG in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich, concentrating on engine dynamics. Guenther Mendl earned a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from the Technical University of Munich between 1993 and 1998.
