Uwe Wieland

Uwe Wieland is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software development and digital transformation, currently serving as Senior Director of SDC Product Development "Order to Delivery" at Volkswagen Group since October 2018. Uwe has international responsibilities for software development in production and logistics, managing projects with an annual implementation volume exceeding EUR 30 million, and has led product initiatives in areas such as Digital Production Platform and Industrial Computer Vision. In addition to roles at Volkswagen, Uwe is a Professor of Digital Products, High Performance Teams & LifeLong Learning at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden and serves as an AirBnB host at Haus „Meerzeit“ Rügen. Uwe's previous experience includes leadership positions at Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH, SoftEd Systems, KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation, and Fromecs Hengste International. Uwe holds multiple degrees, including a doctorate in Wirtschaftsinformatik from Technische Universität Dresden and an MBA from Dresden International University.
