Brian Drohan

Brian Drohan has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in the healthcare and technology industry. Brian is currently serving as a Science Advisor / Innovation Lead at Volpara Health, where they focus on integrating technology platforms and driving scientific innovation. Prior to this, they worked at CRA Health as the Chief Scientific Officer for over three years. In this role, they played a crucial role in the organization's scientific strategy.

Before joining CRA Health, Brian held the position of Chief Technical Officer / Co-Founder at Hughes Risk Apps. Here, they were responsible for developing a comprehensive toolset for patient information collection and analytics. Brian also oversaw the transition from an on-premise solution to a cloud-based platform.

In their earlier career, Brian served as a Senior System Analyst at Massachusetts General Hospital, where they contributed to care pathway development for high-risk breast cancer patients. Brian also collaborated on various research projects and IT initiatives for improved patient outcomes.

Brian's work at the University of Massachusetts as a Software Engineer involved leading a team in studying and developing clinical decision support methods for family history of disease. Brian'scollaboration with IBM resulted in contributions to the ANSI approved HL7 standard for the communication of family history of disease between EHR systems.

Brian Drohan received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 1993 and 1998. Following this, they pursued a higher level of education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, completing their studies between 2004 and 2009.
