Julia Layne

Julia Layne has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as a Dormitory Receptionist at the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics in 2008. In 2009, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Oklahoma, followed by a Teaching Assistant role in 2010. In 2014, they worked as a Barista at Hot Shots Coffee House, and then began working at Gateway Mortgage Group, LLC in 2015 as a Software Engineer, followed by a Sr. IT Application Analyst, and finally an Application Engineer. In 2018, they moved to Vetsource, where they were a Data Engineer and Software Developer II. In 2022, they began working at Volt as a Senior Software Engineer.

Julia Layne obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma between 2007 and 2012. During this time, they also obtained a Minor in Zoology. In 2018, Julia obtained two certifications: a Bertelsmann Data Science Challenge Scholarship from Udacity in May and a Grow with Google Challenge Scholarship from Udacity in January. Julia is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science at Southern Methodist University, which they started in 2020.
