Maximilian Spangenberg

Maximilian Spangenberg has worked in various roles at various companies since 2013. In 2013, they were an Intern in New Business Development at Airbus Defence and Space. In 2015, they were a Consulting Intern at Altman Solon and a Freelancer Business Analyst at Altman Solon. In 2016, they were a Young Graduate Trainee at the European Space Agency - ESA and a Consultant and Researcher in Technology Management & PhD Candidate at the Fraunhofer-Institut für Produktionstechnologie IPT. In 2017, they were a Group Manager Technology Foresight & PhD Candidate at the Fraunhofer-Institut für Produktionstechnologie IPT. In 2019, they were a Head of Business Development & Authorized Signatory and a Manager Business Development at e.SAT GmbH. In 2022, they were a Senior Business Development Manager at Voltfang. Currently, they are a Programme Topic Coordinator Space System Technology at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V.

Maximilian Spangenberg completed their Abitur at Kreisgymnasium Neustadt in 2008. Maximilian then attended RWTH Aachen University from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2012, they completed an Erasmus semester at ISAE-SUPAERO, studying Space Systems and Space Science. Maximilian returned to RWTH Aachen University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration in 2015, followed by a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Space Engineering in 2016. In 2013, they also obtained a Basic Certificate in Project Management from the GPM Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e. V.
