Colby Farrell

Colby Farrell has extensive experience in software development, with a focus on machine to machine (IoT) oriented protocol implementations and network services. Colby served as a Lead Software Developer at Aetheros from September 2018 to January 2021, where they led the creation of consistent, scalable, and interoperable device communication server components. Their work involved implementing IoT industry standard protocols such as LWM2M and OneM2M on device networks numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

Prior to Aetheros, Colby worked at Gridnet Inc as a Lead Software Developer from September 2006 to September 2018. Colby played a crucial role in the early IoT/Smart Grid technology company, focusing on server-side network communication services, database modeling and integration, and public key infrastructure development. Colby also contributed to the evolution of the company's proprietary solutions to IoT industry standards-based implementations.

Colby started their career as a Software Developer at Genesys in January 1997, where they worked until October 2003. Colby then served as a Senior Database Developer at Indus International from November 2003 to December 2005 and at Adteractive from January 2006 to August 2007.

Most recently, Colby joined Voltron Data in June 2022 as a Senior Software Developer.
