Nicolas Denoyelle

Senior Software Engineer at Voltron Data

Nicolas Denoyelle has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position at Voltron Data as a Software Engineer since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Argonne National Laboratory as a Staff Research Scientist and later as a Post-Doctoral System Appointee from 2018 to 2022. In these roles, they focused on AML memory management, application performance optimizations, and modeling applications mapping on computing systems.

Before their time at Argonne National Laboratory, Nicolas was a PHD Student at Atos, where their research centered around applications and platforms modeling in shared memory systems. Nicolas developed various tools related to monitoring, benchmarking, and thread placement. Nicolas also gained experience as an R&D Engineer at Inria and completed an internship in runtime development at Inria Bordeaux.

Nicolas'searlier experiences include an internship at Inria where they designed a Java-network-C++ interface for an artificial intelligence project in Minecraft. Additionally, they worked as a student and later completed a project related to AI testing in Minecraft.

Nicolas Denoyelle also has some part-time work experience as a shelf stacker at Clerdis in 2011 and 2009.

Nicolas Denoyelle began their education at Lycée Lafayette Clermont-Ferrand, where they obtained an equivalence license 2 in Mathematics from 2009 to 2011. Nicolas then pursued their studies at ENSEIRB-MATMECA from 2011 to 2014 and earned an engineering degree in the specialty of Parallelism, Distribution, and Distributed Computing. Following this, Nicolas completed their doctoral studies at Université de Bordeaux from 2015 to 2018, receiving their PhD in High Performance Computing. Nicolas also obtained additional certifications, including a PhD from Université de Bordeaux in November 2018 and a Diplôme national d'ingénieur from ENSEIRB-MATMECA in October 2014.
