Michael Hsu has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Michael began their career at Build-It-Yourself, where they worked as a Content Developer, focusing on the development of education materials and online content platforms. Michael also taught art, robotics, and programming at middle school summer programs and discovered firmware bugs in Cricket programmable bricks for the MIT Media Lab.

After that, they served as a Cartography Research Assistant at McGill University before joining the Hualien County Performance Arts Center for Taiwan National Service.

In 2017, Michael pursued an Independent Study at the Recurse Center and also worked as a Software Engineer at an e-commerce startup. However, this startup eventually dissolved.

In 2018, they joined Google as a Software Engineer, where they worked until 2020. Then, in 2020, they joined Voltus, Inc., first as a Software Engineer and later as the Director of Engineering.

Overall, Michael Hsu has gained diverse experiences in software engineering and has advanced from a Software Engineer to Director of Engineering throughout their career.

Michael Hsu attended McGill University from 2009 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. In 2010, they studied abroad as an exchange student at Peking University, focusing on Philosophy. Prior to attending university, from 2004 to 2007, Michael attended Choate Rosemary Hall. After that, they transferred to Watkinson School from 2007 to 2009, where they participated in their Creative Arts Program.
