Lijin Thomas is the Sector Director of Mid-Hudson Services at Volunteers of America - Greater New York, Inc. Lijin has previous experience working as an MSW Intern at SEAY Behavioral Health Center and Center for Addiction and Recovery Studies. At SEAY Behavioral Health Center, they co-facilitated group therapy sessions and offered psychosocial assessments to patients. At the Center for Addiction and Recovery Studies, they assisted in the case management of clients and facilitated an evidence-based curriculum to pregnant teens and teenage mothers as part of the PPI program. Lijin is a skilled social worker with a passion for helping others.
Lijin Thomas has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston, a Master of Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington with a focus in Mental Health and Substance Abuse, and a Master of Arts in Theology from St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary.
